MAN SL202
1989 saw the introduction of a new type of bus into the State Transit fleet - the MAN SL202.

50 MAN's were delivered during this time. The buses closely resemble the Mercedes Benz MkV type buses that were entering service simultaneously.
There are two distinct groups of the MAN SL202 buses, each featuring a different type of gearbox. Several of the buses have recently been refurbished, receiving new flooring, and repainted interior and exterior surfaces.
The SL202 buses can be found mainly in the Willoughby, Macquarie and Epping areas, as well as on many of our routes operating throughout Sydney's hilly eastern suburbs.
